Participation in and Exhibition at

Nekubi Artist Residency

in Kavala, Greece

Nekubi Art Residency is a vibrant, artist-driven community located in the historic city of Kavala on the North Aegean coast of Greece. Nekubi invites international artists to join their dynamic program through our annual open calls, providing a space to experiment, connect, and push the boundaries of their practice.

I participated in the Nekubi Art Residency in late April through early May 2025. This program culminated in a final exhibition of my artwork at an event hosted at the studio. I displayed a collection of watercolour paintings alongside a local artist (Tooman Designs) at a public show titled “Cartographies”.

Two works – one of which created specifically to display at this show – were showcased at this one-night-only, multi-medium, performance-centred, art event. Both pieces exemplified the theme of the event: the triangle.

A collection of my art pieces were displayed at the Northern Contemporary Art Gallery in Roncesvalles, Toronto, as part of their show entitled “All the Small Things”.

This unique art exposition displayed creative works all under 12”x12” in size. It was fun experience to connect with my fellow Ontario-based artists and see such a breadth and variety of artwork in this prominent venue.

Hoovprints Business Pitch

Fineline Art Accelerator Program

I participated in an accelerator program through OCAD University made for budding artist entrepreneurs called “Fineline”.

During this three day intensive seminar, I was mentored by professionals in business and marketing. It was a fulfilling learning experience that resulted in the production of the video above.

In this pitch, I discuss how through studying architecture, it was clear that becoming an architect was not in the cards for me – and how since graduating, I’ve shifted my focus back to core interests I’ve had all along: graphic design, media, and illustration.
